Default Lighting Techniques - Critique Please

Hey everyone, still playing around with a lot of different lighting techniques and am really feeling colored contrast lighting. This is a shot from a recent photo shoot where I used some of my new lights and I really enjoyed it because the models wanted a sort of opposing feeling with their opposite black and white outfits "sort of a yin and yang feel" so I wanted to add to that with the blue and red lights sort of like "fire and ice". I really like the shot and so did the models but I want some honest feedback about the shot. Let me know what you think. Any and all feed back is welcome and very much appreciated.

Thank you!

Apologies, this was meant to be posted to the Other - Critique, not the SYS. I don't know how to move my post. Can anyone help?

Why don't you PM one of the moderators.

I like the concept here, but I think there are some technical details that could use some work:

1) It looks to me like you're completely blowing out the blue and red channels on the right model's pants, which looks very odd to me.

2) The exposure at the bottom of the image is higher than at the top, where it belongs.

3) Skin reflects red light better than it does blue light. One result is that the left model's face has a much higher exposure than the right model's face. Either exposure could work, but the mix doesn't work well for me.

4) Your left model's pose looks a bit awkward to me.

Very ambitious lighting concept here, that I think could work really well with a little refinement. I think I'd start by using some neutral colored fill light to improve the general exposure, but you'll have to be careful not to lose the color effect.

Thanks for sharing this. It's very thought-provoking.
