Post Underside of a Flower

Hi, I'm 12 years old and I'd like any suggestions to make this shot better...

Exif data:

Camera: Nikon D5000
lens: AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR
focal lens: 55mm
aperture: f/5.6
shutter speed: 1/800 sec.
ISO: lo 1 (not sure the exact number)

Looks great, but I wouldn't have used the lo-1 ISO setting....I never use that setting and there was no reason for you to use it for this picture. And I probably would have used f/8 which is the sweet spot for that lens (possibly f/11).

Those two changes would have improved the sharpness, DOF, noise and DR some (probably)...

Very nice! That's pretty great. I like the colors, the crop, the way the flower stands out against the sky... it's really neat.

It's always great to try new perspective when photographing an object, and this is a great perspective.
I probably wouldn't have thought to take this on the underside of the flower, I would have probably just taken it straight-on. Then later, I would wish that I had tried a different perspective. You did an awesome job! btw, is that a tulip? I thought so, but I'm not sure.

It looks like it could use a little sharpening to me, but other than that, it looks like you have a winner here.
