I have only been into photography for 6 months or so but im going to school in november and hopefully make something of it. just wondering what i am doing wrong , maybe get some tips also. The website isn't professional ! just something to i had fun with and a place to keep my photos. thanks.

Welcome to DPS. You need to follow the forum rules. Also is a lot better to post pictures rather than links.

Are you sure you've been into photography for only 6 months. Awesome!!

But do yourself a favor... Get rid of that music! Coming from a developer, it is one of the biggest mistakes in web design.

Ask yourself a couple of questions...
1. Is it essential to my website?
2. Is it right for my audience?
3. Are my visitors going to be visiting often?
4. Will they get tired of hearing it over and over?
5. Will they already be listening to music or are they visiting your site in a work place or office setting?

Music is a great to listen to, but it’s hardly essential for a website. It could also be what drives your visitors away.

Great Photos!

Thanks Jerome.
yep 6 months! i agree with the music for sure it could be annoying to a lot of people.
i made the site with intentions of showing family and friends its kind of corny....haha when i become better ill have someone make a site for me on a more presentable level. thanks for your advice and taking the time to write me.

Your site is nice, the photo could be in a gallery and separated into categories but for showing friends and family there is nothing wrong with it.

You could check into free sites such as wordpress, they have nice themes and pretty easy to work with.

Good luck and I do like your photos! I am jealous!
