Default Wooden Doll

1/60, f8, ISO 100, 55mm
Table lamp lit from the top.

Wanting critique about:

Lighting.
Composition.
Subject posing.
Subject.
Overall interesting-ness of the picture.
Flaws that needs improvement.

P.S. Is this the right place to put this sort of pictures? I know it doesnt belong in Macro.

I like the concept here. I like the composition. The lighting is simple, but it works.

For the B&W conversion, I'd pull the chair down (assuming it's not the same basic color as the mannequin) so that you get better contrast with the wood.

The left arm seems awkwardly posed, but there might not be much you can do about that.

Finally, I'd spend a bit more time making the "book". In a close-up photo like this, any flaw shows up easily,

I really like the idea behind this shot.

I actually like everything about this shot. The simple composition and lighting lend itself to the idea of the image as well. Really nice job on the grey scale conversion as well.

Hey I have a mannequin just like that! I use it for drawing.

I think it's a pretty cool picture. I like the lighting, the black & white colors, and the pose.
The only thing I can see is, if I did this, I would have zoomed out to show the whole mannequin and chair. It kind of bugs me how his legs are cut off like that- but you may like it that way.

This section seems like the best place to put it. 'Other' is the only category that it really fits in!
