Default Old Barn

Looking for some feedback on composition, the crop, if it is appealing to a photographic view, and the style. This was a barn off the road that I couldn't get close too, so I stop on the side of the Hyw. and took a shot. I like this view because I captured what I was looking for, but was rushed and couldn't set my shot up any better. The sky sucks but being midday in west Texas , what can you do. If something is off and would make this more appealing, please let me know. It was edited some in lightroom and photomatix.

Silvertone, I feel your pain. I'm in the Hill Country of Texas and this has been the most boring summer of sky, cloudless and bright. Sure makes it hard.

That said, I think you have a nice composition. The framing of the barn by the trees is good. As for the crop, try coming in from the right a bit. Just to the edge of the upright portion of the tree to get rid of some of the dead space. Try to crop down from the top to wear the limb going from mid frame left to upper middle is the top edge of the capture. Was there anything hanging on the interior wall that we can see in the frame? If so, it may be worth a try to bring those items into view.

These are my humble observations, but overall, I do like the shot.

Thanks Hill Country Hack, I'll try the different cropping and no there wasn't anything hanging inside or out but that would have been a nice added feature.
