Default Rise UP!
Shot with a Nikon D3000, 35mm lens

Shutter: 1/60 (trying to reduce the ambient light)
Aperture: f/1.8
ISO: 400
Flash: Pop-up flash (bounced off the ceiling with a simple white card)

Fixed WB with picasa, other than that no changes to the pic.



How can this picture be improved? How is the composition/framing etc?

I'm pretty new at this but the DOF seems too small. A very small portion of the ball is in focus. I have had the same problem when I first bought my 50mm and tried shooting at f1.8.
