Leave the darkness behind

I have taken this shot in a cave like place. Did not fire the flash, because wanted to keep the feeling of darkness as well light. Please tell me whether this shot could have been taken better in any way, compositon, lighting, perspective......

Very interesting shot. I like the way eye is drawn from the foreground floor to the brighter light where the person is. I wonder how the pic looks with a little more space on the persons head / upper portion of the picture to give more room for the eye. Lets hear what others have to say.

Nice pic! I reminds me of one of those murder reenactment scenes in CSI. Sorry for my creepy interpretation!
