You want the soldier and the words. I think for an artistic point of view, you ought to focus on one or the other. It's a good picture but to me, right now, it is just another statue. I don't really see anything unique about it (besides the fact it’s a memorial for WWI).

Also, this thing is huge and it looks like you’re shooting from an eye level position. Try a funky angle, shooting from a corner getting both the names on the side and the world war tribute on the front. Or trying it from the ground or the base of his feet could be neat also.

I think you have a cool subject here. It’s just that everyone that has taken that statue’s picture has probably taken it from that position. If try a different angle, I would be interested in seeing what you came up with. I think this thing has a lot of potential.
Do you think this is a more interesting angle? I think I like this one better.
