This photo was taken at City Market in Bangalore, India. Any thoughts/suggestions? Too light? Not enough contrast?

I hope I can help, I have some suggestions:
1. aren't there overexposed spots on the chilis? The focus/sharpness looks a bit weird, that's because of the shallow depth of field... it's not shallow enough to emphasize a detail, it looks like the focus is in the center but the first sack is too big. 2. the composition: either a close-up/macro on some chilis with shallow dof or a wider view with the 'salesman' (who's in the corner) would look better. To be honest, I'm much more eager to see the man's friendly smile or a characteristic face. But I have to mention the background and the other sacks, a good hungarian photographer talked about the importance of the geometry I discovered on you photo. 3. I have to repear myself: the man in the corner bothers me, I waant to see his face.
