If that beam at the top went out the corner or side of the frame, it might not bother me so much. As it is, there's something about the direction and angle of it that's bothering me. It screws with my understanding of the perspective to the sky, I think. I get stuck at the end of that beam and can't enjoy the rest of the image.

Personally, I could see myself processing this with a bit more contrast and vibrance/saturation, but that's a taste/personal style issue.

+1 on IABoomer's comments.

I would hit it with some "gritty" HDR like pping.

Too much white on the top edge of the frame, pulls the eye out trying to follow the beam. A different perspective is needed. Too many hot spots. The back window in the middle of the scene and the large piece of metal behind the chairs. Tone those spots down a good bit.

Good idea -

I am fairly happy with it except that the sky got flaky. BUT I have sold pieces with skies equally flaky. Gives it and illustration feel.

I agree with the white neg area at the top. I went back and pushed on it a bit and I was surprised at how much sky came back. As for the beam there is nothing I can do about . Better luck next time. Maybe the new found color in the sky helps? I also took the time to burn in some of the hot spots just a bit.

Thanks to all of you for your input.

Magic photo it has so much potential, i like the HRD version better, I had one that sat on my computer for a couple of months till i could work out what to do with it, i tried B&W but was still to clean and crips, ended up using a couple of treatments from Topaz Adjust to get the effect i was after.
Might be worth a look. ( hope you dont mind me adding mine for you to look at)
