I like this shot. I like how everything in this shot leads to the center of the photo with an interesting subject. What I do not like are the blown out lights at the top corners of your frame. Your subject looks a wee bit off center too. Just a bit to the right. If you havent already, invest in a neutral density filter it will help if you like long exposures. Just my $0.02

For your first attempt you did a great job. It is slightly off center, but nothing that jumped out at me. I like the way the fountains line up into the distance and point into the main structure. Almost a perfect mirror image going on. As far as the lights in the corners, yes they really are distracting. The overexposure and the fact that they don't appear to be attached to anything is the main problem. The other lights, although very bright, appear to be "attached" to the structure that makes up the majority of the frame so it works well.
