Default Car Show

I took this at a local car show. Other than some cropping it is straight out of the camera. Tell me what you think:

REL-0101

Nikon D7000
f/11
1/1000
55mm
ISO-800

Thanks
Russell

My two cents worth: you had plenty of room to drop the ISO back - always a idea to use the lowest if possible to reduce any noise. Not that this is apparent here. As far as the shot goes, I really like the composition and lighting except it's a shame you couldn't avoid the road reflection on the side panel as it's a little distracting. But well done!

Thanks for the input on ISO. Other than some point-n-clicks over the years this is really my first foray into digital. I am still very much in my film mindset from over a decade and a half ago. I shot extensively before running off to join the Navy. Sold all of my equipment at the time too, so this is really my first foray back into photography at all in that same time frame. It's like riding a bike, right!?!?! I ALWAYS shot 400 or 800(much less often) when outdoors. I didn't figure noise would be a problem with my camera at 800 so I left it.

I took a couple of pictures at more of an angle to try and avoid the reflection of the road, but overall I just didn't like the shots at all. This angle just works for me. Again, thanks for the critique.

I'm assuming you are talking about the "ask a specific question part"?? I get that, and maybe I should have put this in the "share your photos" section instead. I was just looking for any general ideas and advice since I have been away from photography for so many years, and am just getting into digital for the first time. I will definitely be more specific from now on though, thanks.
