First of all, great image. I'm actually really drawn to this one as well. I really enjoy the way this shots composed. The main subject is slightly off to the side, making it a little more interesting than if it was dead center. While I can see why BuddhaPi says that the background should be more out of focus, I personally like it the way it is. Being able to see the boat behind this sign saying "Please Keep Off Dock" adds a little bit more story to it. Now like I said, that's just me though. I do think that the distressed look of this scene is what really makes it though. If this was a brand new sign hanging there, it wouldn't be anywhere near as interesting. So overall, great image and I can definitely see why you like it. I look forward to seeing more of your work. David |

You never know what works sometimes. I like this shot as well. It's nicely composed, tells a story and has limited colours. Even without a more out of focus background the sign still pops and the image shows depth. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, just remember what Churchill said
