Default Fete Ride and Operator at night...

Hi,
This is a shot I took at my kids school Fete. I was hoping to get the ride and the operator, and give a sense on him at work. I would have preferred that the 2 people not stop in my shot and block the view, but such is life with taking photos at a public venue.
I did bump the saturation a little to bring out the colours more. My main question is in regards to the composition.
Should I have tried to get the operator as the main part of the shot, rather than the ride? And should I have put it a little more off center?
Thanks for any advice.

For me this one pretty much works.
What would have also been really nice is a shot from behind the operator at a low angle and then have the ride slightly blurred in the background.

Haha. Funny you should say that. That was kinda what I was hoping to try after this shot. The low angle from behind the operator part anyway. But unfortunately for me, they closed the rides all down about a minute after I got this one. I got one other shot in portrait rather than landscape orientation but it looked odd.

Oh, and Thank You
I appreciate the feedback.
