Default drawing with light

i took this shot for my photography class, i think the light works from the head light, because it leads the eye, but my teacher suggested that the headlight is distracting. opinion? how could i make a better shot showing drawing with light?

I find the tennis ball and the background to be more of a distraction than anyhing. My suggestion would be to reframe it so that you're only shooting the grill of the car. then use your flashlight out of the frame to paint around the grill and let it reflect the light. Or if you wanna keep the same framing then stop down your aperture, or lower your iso to make the background go black and just keep the front of the car lit.
