Technically it was a neat shot for me, nice DOF and good lighting as well, IMO it will look much better if you don't cropped it to much tight on the upper side, leaving a little bit space upper will balance to the space you give on the lower side, also show more of the hand.

i wish i could get more of the hand in the shot it was cut off during the shoot. these were test shots for a bigger project. i see what you mean about the upper space.

A little more space as mentioned above would be good. Exposure looks pretty good, although there might be just a bit of blown detail on the left side of the chips. The black cards are interesting and provide a nice change from the typical.

Assuming this is hold'em, I'd fold, unless you have a prop bet going where anyone who bluffs people out of the hand with 72o gets a little something from each player.

I would fold also. this is to get idea for a clothing line geared at poker and casino patrons, called" 7 deuce off brand" hence the hand shown.

I love the black cards. we are thinking of swapping out the white chips for maybe black or gray.

Black chips would probably bring a bit too much darkness to the image, although those are traditionally $100 chips, so there's a "high-roller" kind of look to a stack of blacks. Greens are usually $25, but that would blend a bit much with the felt. The red $5 could be okay.

If you could find some, purples are often $500, so you get the "high-roller" look, but with a splash of other color to play off the black cards.
