Default Money Shot Or Not So Hot?

So, I was inspired to take a picture of coins falling. I used my new 35mm 1.8 hoping to get better IQ then I would with my kit lenses. My question is about the focus, but all critique is welcome.

How's the focus?

EXIF:
ISO: 400
f/8
1/500
On camera flash at 1/32 power
Optical slave flash at 90 degrees full power with flag.

i think is is perfect. Looks as good as you'd find on any stock image website. Nice work.

Focus looks great to me. I like that its just a little blur up front. And focused on the falling coins
