Critique section guidelines. What to include in your posts. Thanks for taking the time to read them and include what they ask for

Wait!
I am confused ......Have I done anything wrong in the post?
Or did you thank me for sticking to the rules?
Should I include the EXIF data?
If yes, could you please tell me how to do it?

No, she's suggesting you read the part of the rules that says: "Please include the following information, if possible, with your image: EXIF info, type of camera, specific questions (What do you think? is not a specific question). A meaningful title, NOT "Critique Please", will also get your post noticed in a crowded section, as well as any additional information you can give about the conditions in which you shot."

So yeah, Exif and a specific question would help us help you.

As for how, on your flickr image page, click on the part in the upper right cornere where it has your camera name, it'll open THIS page where you can get the exif. Typically we want shutter speed, iso, aperture, focal length, whether or not you used flash and what sort of PP (post processing) you did, if any... that'll go a long way to help us know what to say to you.

@Big Fuzzy: Thank you so much. Now I understood what she meant.

After following what you told me to do regarding EXIF info. Here it is:
Exif data
Camera Canon EOS 500D
Exposure 0.077 sec (1/13)
Aperture f/5.6
Focal Length 55 mm
ISO Speed 100
Exposure Bias 0 EV
Flash Off, Did not fire

The subject was near a window on the right so I had plenty of sunlight.
I got a yellowish glow, so i adjusted the temperature and tint a little.
I am just an amateur hence I wanted to know how I could improve.

p.s. I was thinking of submitting this for the latest assignment Detail. So is this ok?

Hi Hansel, I am relatively new to photography as well so I don't know how much my advice will help, but I like the photo. The DOF is very pleasing. One critique would be the keys slant. I keep having visions of setting something on the keyboard and it sliding of to the left. I would be tempted to rotate the image a little to level out the keys. I can't promise it will make it better, but I would try and see. Great shot!

In LR3 in the develop module go to Lens correction and try playing with the vertical & horizontal sliders and that should get you what you are looking for. Also you might try rotate but I don't think that will help. Check the constrain crop box and when you select done LR3 will crop the edges of the picture for you.

There is only one change I would make -- I would like to see the photo composed without the beige object in the upper left corner. I like the DOF, lighting, and long stretch of the keyboard leading the viewer into the photo.
