Default VERY new to photography. Would love feedback

I was messing around with using the light next to the bottle and flash.

I'm not familiar with technical terms/techniques but would love to hear feedback as to the correct techniques for product shots.

Coke Bottle on 365 Project

I hope you don't mind my posting with the html. Since your background is white and the Flickr page is white, it's difficult to figure out where your photo ends and the web page begins

First, welcome to DPS!!!

Ok now that i can see the edge of the photo I suggest you read up on the Rule of Thirds. The exposure seems to be fine to me, but I'm fairly new too. Also, it's always very helpful to include your EXIF info (Ap, shutter speed, ISO, focal length, etc...) The more experienced folks on here will be very helpful with that info in a technical manner.

FYI to post your pic the way I did- where it says "share" go to where it says "grab html" and simply copy and paste the code into your post and voila! your photo will appear in your post!

My last suggestion is read, read, READ.....and then read some more LOL. I've learned a ton from this forum and I've only been on for a couple of weeks. There are lessons you can read, but I've learned a lot by simply looking at the comments on everyones posts. Absorb it all

I hope this has helped! Enjoy!

I'm also a beginner, but i would like to share some tips from the expert regarding to product shots, with regards in your photos, better if its not just empty bottle of coca cola, dont remove its content, better if you photograph it some moist of water to add thirst quenching effect, do a lot for the composition., the shadow is overly imposed, a bit destructive
