Default Lonesome Window

Hello DPS! I'm new to photography and just bought a DSLR. I Spent a couple hours and went out and had a lot of fun taking some photos, and I'm really happy with the turn out of most of them. I'm just looking for a little bit of critique from people with a higher level of knowledge and experience in photography. Here is my photo for the day.

WindowHDR

Camera Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT
Exposure 1/4000 sec
Aperture f/5.6
Focal Length 28 mm
ISO Speed 1600
Exposure Bias 0 EV
Flash Off, Did not fire

without really knowing what you want help with. (always something specific) I can tell you the placement of the window right in the middle doesn't work. Move it more to one side or the other by cropping or retaking the photo
I'd also try and take it at a different time of the day because of that blown out section. Totally doesn't go with the rest of the image
I can see why you would be interested in it, the bricks around it and that one lil window in the wall is interesting

Windrider is correct.

The rule of thirds is exactly what this photo needs.

The blown area is too strong, it grabs the eyes and won't let go.

Give it another shot, and let us see what you come up with
