Post Tower Clock mechanism

This is the mechanism from the clock tower at my local post office.

I have made some adjustment to the exposure and cropped the picture to remove some of the distraction of the enclosing cupboard. I'd appreciate any input regarding exposure and composition. Thanks!

Interesting piece of hardware.

Suggestions:

I'd recommend either using the enclosure to frame the mechanism by including the enclosure on both sides, or cropping to remove the enclosure entirely. (There's something white and triangular on the left side of the frame that could be cropped or cloned away as well.)

I'd like to see either a straight on shot or something that looks a bit more intentionally angled. Right now you're just enough to the right of the center of the mechanism that it looks unintentionally skewed.

The front of the mechanism looks well lit. There's not enough lighting to see the parts deeper in. If those parts would not reward study, that's probably a good thing. If they're interesting, you might consider using a snooted or gridded light to drop some light into the back of the enclosure as well.

Right now, the foot on the lower camera right portion of the mechanism is clipped. I'd recommend either including the whole foot or cropping up a bit higher, again so that the composition looks more intentional.

FWIW, I'm fascinated by old mechanisms, so I'm glad you took the time to show this off.
