First, i think you should read the critique rules post.

Second, it all feels very flat to me and a bit underexposed were my first thoughts.

Also, it's not all sharp. I'd think that unless there was intentional aspects left out of focus, everything should be sharp, especially any of the letters and the letters at the bottom of the box aren't (as far as I can tell looking at the large image on flickr).

The background just feel plain boring to me. Very much a "sell it on ebay" sort of background. At the very least, find either a contrasting or complimentary color for the background and play with the lights a bit to create some depth or interest.
I humbly offer up one of my own which was done with a poster sized piece of paper, one 430ex flash with a homemade snoot and a desk lamp, so it doesn't need to be fancy.
I think the light, though very simple and limited, added some drama to the subject.

Sorry if I sounded a bit harsh, but I hope I was also constructive?

I will be researching on DIY lighting techniques and this post was a great reminder on what to watch out for.

Would you recommend an HDR type processing on this at all? Maybe more of a shadow?

Um.. I'm not a big fan of HDR as most people do it very poorly, though who knows how it'd be on a product image.

As for shadow.. depends on the project. I think in the case of the perfume I don't think it really needs any.. in mine, I think it really adds to it especially the nice shadow near the cape. I wish I'd composed to include the whole cape

after following the good advice of BigFuzzy, try putting a piece of foil or mirror strip at the back of the bottle to give some sparkle.

I'd be interested in seeing how that works as well, mainly how/where to position it, etc.
