Default An American Revolution

While coming home today, I saw my neighbor's old Chevy truck parked in front of the house. It looks pretty old and beaten down, but obviously, still getting the job done for him. I was inspired to shoot the logo on the truck and make it look kind of old and vintage. Any more suggestions? I know the shadow near the end of the letters is a little too dark, but it was the light that was hitting at that moment. Is the aperture ok? My goal was to keep the first letters in focus in have them be less in focus as it got further down the word, but was that the right choice? What about the color?

I think you did very nicely on this. I don't have anything to correct on it.

I agree with your assessment - the shadow interrups the image as you already know - the color is nice n grimy as you intended, and the focus seems to be what you were after.

So, the next step is the control the lighting to see what the results are. The top part is blown out and you have to decide next is how you may want those shadows to fall. Would it look beefier if the shadows in a different position? The side shadows right now I think are good, but it might be interesting to experiment.
