Default ice/snow

I took this on a walk down my street. Personally, I liked the shadow from the building and the single icicle hanging from the edge of the roof, but I'm not sure I captured it the way I hoped to. Any tips?

I like the contrast between the ice and snow and the red X. I had a course once in quality control that was called "Hunt for the Red X", and I take it this is what your image is all about.

Thank you for posting it!

PS, I do think the focus around the X is a bit fuzzy and could have been improved if you'd stopped down in aperture. You don't give us your technical data, so for all I know you were already at f/64.
