Default Rose

Hi guys. I love this look of the B/W and colour. I've cropped and recropped this photo and still not sure if it's right, especially the leaves at the bottom. I may be having a grey moment here but the rules say 740px longest side and when I go to add the attachment it says 3264.

Canon 30D, Sigma 17-70
1/1000
F/4.5
ISO200
FL 70mm

It didn't work so I'm going to try Flickr

Default What have I done wrong?

I've uploaded the pic but it doesn't appear above, if you click on the paper clip symbol in the list of threads the pic comes up.

I'm not sure what you want help with (no question) but for me this is a nice photo. Just needs some pizzaz to make it really pop.
I like the rose against the wood, the hardware in the wood are a nice touch. Perhaps a slight vignette and some burn on the rose?
I wonder what it might look like if the whole thing was in black and white?

It was mainly a composition question. It does work in B/W but I need to get more texture in the wood to contrast with the softness of the rose.
