Default Does the utility pole need to be removed?

Went out on a photo tromp in Temple the other day. Found my way to the train depot/museum. This shot is straight out of the camera, it looks great in Sepia as well.

I've tried and tried and tried to clone, smudge, paint in surrounding color,.... out the utility pole in the upper left corner. I think its a big eye sore, and detracts from the photo. Every time I try, the colors get all messed out of whack and you can tell I've PP'd it. Oh, and the power line at the very top. The sky color varies in such a short space, I cant figure out how to make it turn out fine. I've tried everything I can think of to make it work.

My Question: Do you agree that it detracts from the photo and I should keep trying to clone it out, or does it look okay to you?

The EXIF:
Shutter: 1/125
F Stop: f/5.6
ISO: 100
WB: Manual
Metering: Matrix
Exposure Program: Program
Focal Length: 44mm
If I need to post anything else, just let me know.

Wasn't really sure where to post this, so figured I'd try here. Don't feel like uploading it to Flickr just yet.

The utility pole HAD to go! It looked like a part of the locomotive engine.

So I had a quick go at it.

I'm no PS wizard but when it comes to cloning in detailed areas you have to get right in and almost clone pixel by pixel.

Hope you like it.

Bakeys- The picture isnt there anymore. I thought the same thing about the pole though. It was unavoidable. Think I'll just give it a go and try again. The hardest part is right there at the top of the train itself. I'll try again and see how it goes,....I'm usually pretty good at figuring stuff out. Thanks for the opinion though. It helps to know I'm not the only one who thinks it needs to go.

That's funny, I'm staring at it on my screen!

Yeah,... I've been having some issues with some pictures coming up here on DPS. I tried posting a new reply last night with a thumbnail of my retry of it, and it wouldnt take it. And last night it was there, but before it wasnt. Kinda odd, but eh,..Think theyre still working out a few bugs.

Ah,.... the file is too bog, thats probably why it wouldnt come up. I'm still trying to figure out how to reduce the size of a file,....thats another thing that seems to be eluding me.

I'm assuming I read the "rules" correctly - someone correct me if I'm wrong, but DPS suggested uploading the image to Flckr and then insert it into the body of a thread using the "Insert Link" button above the reply box (looks like a globe and a chain link). Simply select "share this" on your Flickr image and then choose the large format of the "Grab the HTML/BBCode" option. Copy and paste that into the address bar that appears after you select the 'Insert Link' button.

Voila, as they say.
