Default Rock That Hat

zy. Christy on Kayak

This was taken last year in Palau, an island in Micronesia. I like how the rock islands formed a hat-like silhouette that mirrors the hat worn in the picture.
However, my problem is this: I don't know if/how I should crop this image? Should it be lightened or left at a dark contrast? It was taken with an 8 megapixel digital waterproof-type camera so the picture has limits. But I just love the artsy appearance of this shot so much that I am looking for any advice to make it print & frame worthy.

Thank you!

I am too new to this all to give you any advice really, except, I think if you crop it you will lose the beauty of the shot! I love the way you captured the hat within a hat! What an eye you have!!

Cheers!

The foreground doesn't seem to add too much to the shot. I think you could probably crop half the water between the frame and the boat. One benefit of doing this would be to get the horizon out of the dead center.
