I hope I am in the correct place for this. I took a series of photos that had strange shadows in the shot. I was wondering if anyone could provide an explanation as to how this happened. There are a total of 9 that I posted in my album. Each one was different, and the last one, taken a day later, showed no sign of the shadow. There is also one taken without the flash that also looked normal. This was a Sony digital DSLR-100 ISO speed was 400 F number was 5.6. It was set to auto exposure. Any help would be appreciated.
Found the cause. In the process of setting up the shot, I grabbed the barrel of the lens to steady the camera. This caused my fingers to block the flash. Changing shadows was due to my wife and myself moving our hands to re-position for each shot. I will delete this post if I can find out how. Last edited by hewart; 12-26-2010 at 02:41 PM. |

I see so many people do the "fingers in front of flash" thing I just chuckle every time. I eventually say something (so as to incur no bad karma), but I wonder how many go through the same thing as you once they get home!
