Default Marketplace shot

Jaipur market

Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/50
Av( Aperture Value ) 5.6
ISO Speed 100
Lens EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
Focal Length 55.0mm

Taken at Jaipur, India.
Did cross processing after reading about it in a tutorial. Did I achieve the effect? Is it too saturated? Also did some cropping.
Please give your thoughts on it and what can be improved.

thanks,
Abhishek

Honestly, I think its a little too saturated. Also, you might want to reduce the exposure slightly. I say this because as you can see, the white shirt of the guy in the picture looks blown out. As far as composition is concerned, the only thing I would say probably is that maybe you could crop it a little less on the left so as to allow the "saree centre" to show fully.

Loose the cross processing for a while and concentrate on your composition. There are too many objects here which are unrelated. The sign for the shop is incomplete and might add to the story. There is no connection between the woman and the rest of the scene and the red car is a distraction. All this if it wasn't so burnt out in the whites and saturated to hell everywhere else. You're trying to drive a Ferrari before you can ride a rick shaw. Get the basics and learn to visualise your final product before you start getting fancy. Using tricky procedures doesn't make a snapshot into a masterpiece, especially when the procedure is used poorly.
