Default Carousel / merry-go-round panning shot

Hi all

Just wondering what I could do with this shot to make it better? Try it with a child on the horse instead of a grown man?

I got a shot I liked before I could swap to a wide angle lens, so perhaps I should try this again with a wider lens and get closer while getting more in? Have the subject on the right of the frame, to give him more space to ride into? I have no clue how to implement the latter while panning, as I guess this would only work while panning with the motion, not against.

All comments appreciated!

Thanks

Woah! I don't have much critique, but that's a really cool pic! Nice work!

not sure how i would pan this, but I agree with having a child as the rider and having them slightly off to the right to insert some more space in the photo. Great shot by the way!
