Talking The Ornament and I

So I've started taking some lessons with a local photographer today. Of the 20-30 photos taken this one was my favorite. Please let me know if you have any other pointers for me. I'm still trying to remember what all the settings mean and do. Thanks!

Didn't MC Escher do this with some type of reflective ball? He held it out and drew it, but it was close. I like the idea. Might have to try that one. Nice overall picture (to my untrained eye). I like how the branches reflect in the ornament, leaving a little "hole" in the middle, like a window on another world. Pretty good job controlling the background too. I can see the kitchen, but from what it looks like there's no clutter.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I actually went into a cupcake shop and they let me take a few photos of their tree and products. I do notice now that my ISO was at 3200. EEK!
