Hi

I am back on this forum after a long hiatus. I have put up the following photo for your critique. This is a photograph of a papaya leaf captured against the sun. Would like your critique especially on the composition of the photograph.

Visually appealing. I like the color, the lines and the patterns. As for your settings, I think they're perfect. I would like to see more "light" behind the leaf, though, as per your title.

I am no pro. Just relying on my untrained eye. Still, I like the shot.

Great pic and looks very sharp too.
The only thing that I can think of is that the stem and the vein (is that what it is called?) in the leaf are along the same line; I would prefer not having such a dominant straight line dividing the image, especially in such a natural context...maybe try from a different angle...

Thanks guys for the comments. Now that you mention it Abhivj, I too notice the division of the frame. Will keep that in mind the next time.

Cristen, won't the colors turn out flat with more light behind the leaves? I think I should try that out the next time.

Thanks again guys.
