Default Is the Message Strong Enough?

When I saw this scene, I saw a commentary on the human condition that affects everyone at some point in their life; ignore something that you do not want to deal with. It would have been great if there were people everywhere stepping over the duck etc. but alas, there were none.

This is not an image I may take again as the duck is gone.

I would prefer the critique of this image lean toward the artistic side, although if there is something technically etc. that could/would have made the message stronger, feel free to voice your opinion.

Do you think it is effective as a commentary on the way people ignore things that they do not want to deal with?

The scale of the person in the window is way off. Makes it quite obvious that it is a paste job.

Other than that I like the concept.

Actually, I think that's a poster in the window.

To me, the two seem unrelated. If it were a flesh and blood person walking by it might be different, but even so ... if you see a duck on the sidewalk, are you going to pick it up and bury it?

I dunno, it doesn't really say anything to me.

It is actually a poster, and I agree that this image doesn't say much, even to me. It's one of those images that I really want to work, but in the end, it's just a moderately interesting picture.

Someday I'll get the hang of that visualization thing...

Thanks for the critique thus far.

I didn't even realize that the duck was a duck. I read the post and kept thinking 'what duck?'.
Yeah I don't get the message either, and it seems like the poster in the window is the main focus point.
I think you should've tried a different angle, maybe went down to the duck's level on the sidewalk and let the background be something else in the other direction. It could've ended up a little 'gory' but perhaps effective...
