![]() This one I am saying as I was told to do this earlier... 1. Be sure to add your EXIF data IE - exposure, fstop, shutter speed and so on. It is part of the forum rules here. Because of the depth of field selected the left side blurs away and creates a distraction for the eye. It makes it near impossible to find the true subject. A quick way to know if this is a shot you like is to put it up on your screen small and walk about 10-15 feet away and look back at it. This is one of the few places I agree with Ken Rockwell; I think it applies here. On the right the cropping of the bolt gives a place for the eye to exit. I am guessing that this is one of the rungs on a power pole, but I am just guessing as it is hard to tell. Don't let my critique shy you away from trying this subject more. I think there is a shot in there, you just must see it. You have to ask yourself what made you want to take the picture in the first place and then capture it.
