Default Eerie Long shutter in the car at night

I took this out the car window as the sun was setting. I like the eerie feeling of it and am wondering if the light streaks help or hinder. If you have any other suggestions they would be welcome as well. Thanks for looking. :-)

Personally I like the light trails, it lends an otherworldy feel to the image as well as acting as strong leading lines to draw the viewer's eye down the track into the image, which lends to good composition. You could possibly lose some of the solid black on the right hand side but overall I like the shot.

I think the light trails are jarring personally. The trees have an almost impressionist feel to them thanks to the long exposure, but the lines just trample all over them. They essentially become the subject and the trees fade into the background. It almost looks like someone has scrawled on the photo with liquid paper. The eye would naturally fall on the vanishing point down the road without them.
