Nice colours and reflections, the chopper really seems to be 3-dimensional - but why did you chop off the rotor at the sides?

Hi.

Thanks for the comments.

I wanted to show the body more, do you think it would have been better to have been a slightly wider shot to incorporate more of the rotor??

Yes, I think you need to give consideration to the orientation of the picture - it is a very landscape image and I'm not sure the portrait crop really helps - perhaps try a 'super-wide' crop to get as much rotor in as possible?

Anyway, I'm sure there are better critique'rs out their so I'll let them have their turn!

I like the image, but I have to agree with bbtom10 about the rotor. Besides that the tail of the chopper is not fully in the picture, it seems to drop out of the picture. (the bit that goes to the left.)

Thanks for the comments.

This was the next shot taken:

Is this better? Still didnt quite get all of the rotor blades in though!!

I'm new to photography really, only ever had a point and shot so the compact SLR is a good learning curve before I go the whole way to a pro SLR.
