This shot looks good. There is definately a focus on what makes the cheescake interesting and the background doesn't interfere with the subject. I think maybe the DOF is slightly too shallow and maybe is a bit overexposed, otherwise I think the compostition is excellent!

Hmmm, I think the crop is a little tight. If you're going to crop close, maybe just have an all white background and not the napkin in front. If you're going to add props to tell a story, I think you have to back it up a bit. Nice lighting, and now I want a piece!
