Default 1st attempt at water droplet

This was my first try at shooting a water droplet. I don't know if this is the right section for it but here ya go.

I noticed that the ripples in the water are in focus but the top of the drop is not. What would you have changed?
Nikon D50
Flash used: yes

Do you have any off-camera lighting that you can use? If so, crank up the flash power so you can use a smaller aperture, which will give you a larger depth of field.

I don't have an off camera flash yet but I can still turn the power of the flash up. I'll give it a try. Thanks
