Default Neys (wooden flutes)

I only increased the contrast to make the texture of the black cloth in the background disappear, didn't know any other way to do that!

So, are they sharp enough and do u think the focus is nice?
What do you think about it?

Canon 450D
Canon EF-S 18-55 IS
Exposure 1.3
Aperture f/4.5
Focal Length 34 mm
ISO Speed 200

Ney is an arabian wooden wind instrument (like a wooden flute).

great photo! very creative, and love the angle. the only thing i would change is i would have a lightly larger DOF. when you have a shot like that, you tend to follow the subject, and i personally like the focus to reach farther. IMO

I agree, nice shot, could use deeper dof.
To set the black darker without increasing contrast change the output blackpoint using levels or curves adjustment.
