Default Music Photo: Moving guitar

Hi,

I would like the opinion in this photo.
It was at a concert. A low light situation.

I was trying to get the hand moving on the guitar, but the guitar is also moving. Did I get that motion?
(or should I had used another exposure time? or waited for a quiet song...?)

Screaming guitar

Camera Nikon D90
Exposure 0.077 sec (1/13)
Aperture f/3.0
Focal Length 105 mm
ISO Speed 250
Flash On

Thanks

I like it because it's NOT a typical shot. It's a very neat shot but I don't really like the color toning you have chosen.

It all depends on what you want to go for. The relatively slow shutter speed of 1/13 is probably why you picked up the guitar movement as well. If you only want a hand strumming blur, then waiting until the guitarist isn't moving the guitar itself might work.

I personally would like a brighter photo, this looks a bit too dark, making the medium and dark tones wash into each other. The "brights" aren't that bright either, which makes the photo tones look a bit muddy. If you can, try increasing the exposure and contrast to give it a bit of pop. Increase your ISO to 400, 800, as high as your camera can go without getting too much noise.
