Default This Picture is Mental

Hey
This is a picture from the abandoned Wacol mental hospital in Brisbane Australia (Hence “this picture is mental” ..... well I thought it was a good title). It was an overcast day when I took the photo, and I was wondering how to improve the sky in this picture. I’ve seen it done in other photos, also what software do people use.
Any other tips on this would be great to, (any improvement I’m shore there is at least a couple)
Please be mean, I want to know if it look horrible
Thanks

Not horrible..nice composition..nice angle you took the pic at..overall, good job..I would up the saturation a bit to help with the sky, and try to straighten it out a bit..but that is just my opinion...Hope this helps!

I use adobe lightroom which is great at pulling colors out you never thought were there. For me, the composition doesn't work, because my eye is so drawn to the tree and convergence of the branches instead of the building. Since the building is the subject, I would have stepped forwards and not had the tree in there at all, but instead use the angles and lines of the building to keep me interested. I like that the building is on an angle, perhaps exaggerating it even more would have added to the drama and effect.
