Hello =)
I'm new to photography and just a couple weeks ago I borrowed a camera from a family friend and immediately went to my backyard to play around with it. This is one of my favorite pictures that I took of water from my pool.. Any advice for a beginner? I was trying to capture how the light was reflecting off the ripples, any suggestions on how I could do this better? Thanks =) ![]() EXIF: Camera: Canon EOS 20D F-stop: f/8 Exposure time: 1/500 sec ISO speed: ISO-200 focal length: 300 mm |

i like the concept and if you just began photography that is very good for your skill level. i do however think that the ripple should be a little bit more organized. like just one ripple in the middle. i know that may be hard because cameras and agua dont exactly mix
but once again i like the concept and maybe take a few more pictures.

I think that Moving in closer to the water rather than zooming as far as you did would help, and if you're closer and want to have a similar depth of field open up the aperture (F-Stop), that should also brighten up the image a little more. Also, more controlled ripples if you can, as was mentioned. But other than that it's pretty good for first using the camera.
