I am not entirely sure if I have posted this image in the right section, so Mods, please feel free to move it, if it is out of place!
![]() This is a double page spread for a coffee table book I am preparing. The image is of the brides flower girl (daughter), who was incredibly shy, and made me work for every image I got! These shots were unposed. You are more than welcome to comment on the images, but what I am looking for is some feedback on the layout of the two pages. The images are very similar, and I am wondering if it works, or if they are too much alike? Is the colour ok? Your input is much appreciated! ![]() Shot settings : Canon EOS 30D Canon 50mm f1.8 ISO 400 Av : f 4.5 Tv : 1/250 |

The colors look great and it is a really cute shot. Why is it, kids who are so cute naturally tend to be the ones who make you work the most for that shot. Great shot! I would love to see the smaller one replaced with a close up of one of those flowers or possibly the whole bunch. I do think they look to much alike. At first, quick glance I thought they were the same one.
Great job! |

Thank you very much for the feedback! I am a little hesitant to do a close up of the flowers as they are not real - I deliberately used a shallow dof to try and disguise them
![]() I do have another image that I could use, in the place of the little one - I will make the changes and post again! Thanks again

When shooting for four color reproduction you want the best image you can possibly have.
Shot at the lowest ISO that you can. Higher ISO will lower image quality and introduce noise into the image. Take a look at the reciprocal rule. You shot at 1/250 with a 50mm lens. According to the rule with a 50mm lens you could had shot this image at 1/60 while still hand holding the camera. Single-Serving Photo – Focal Length Reciprocal Rule Shoot the image with a tripod to remove any chance of camera shake. Nice exposure and nice composition. Your published work is what the world will see. You want to use it as a marketing tool. Submit the best images that you can. Thanks Joe
