Default My typical shot

This is a very typical shot for me, so I'm looking for heavy critique in all areas. I did just a slight edit to it, which is also a typical of my editing process.

Camera: SONY
Model: DSC-H3
F-stop: f/9
Exposure time: 1/125 sec.
ISO speed ISO-125
Exposure bias: 0 step
Focal length: 16mm
Max Aperture: 3.625
No Flash

I don't have a fancy camera right now. I did have a few times in the past, but they became outdated, and also one broke. Right now I have something easy to replace. I have plans to buy something nice next year as a reward to myself for jumping in and learning more about shooting photos.

Nice use of depth of field, Nice exposure, nice use of the thirds rule. Nice composition.

You may not have the capability to do macro with your existing camera, but the background is a bit overpowering in contrast to the flower. If you had macro capability I would have tightened up the shot to remove a lot of the background.

Nice shot.

Thanks

Joe

Thanks. I can't wait for the day that I can do Macros.
