Default Trying to create "morning" light

Hi all,

I see this picture in my head, dark garage, morning light streaming through the window lighting the cars. Was trying for a nostalgic feel at first, but to fight grain it ended up cleaning up a bit too much.

The "sun" is a flash set to 1/1 power shooting through the frosted glass window. The light is aimed a little high, I'll try to aim it further down for next time. I'm pretty sure I should gel it with a CTO to warm it up a bit, but ran out of batteries last night while shooting it. How would you guys go about lighting this?

Also, would you guys have set up a reflector inside to light the cars themselves a bit and not leave the image so dark?

Morning Possibilities

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Equipment used: Canon 5d mk1, Tokina 28-70 f2.6-2.8, Sunpak PZ42X flash

I'm relativly new, but here's what I thought when I saw it.

The window is really bright and the top car is really dark. Is there a way to be more in front of the cars? or kind of at an angle? Then maybe the window wouldn't be the main focus and maybe use a reflecter to show off the top car a bit better.
