Default Pretty? Or just annoying?

I was just our shooting some pretty scenery, looked up and shot this. It's pretty much as is accept for a little saturation. I liked it but have gotten mixed reactions. What do you think?
It was shot with my Nikon D50 with a nikon 18-55 lens.
Focal Length 18mm
F14
SS 1/800
I THINK ISO was 200

It is a very unsettling perspective - to see this, you'd have to crane your head back. Also, there is a lot competing for attention, all in bright colours. Unless you are trying to create a sense of dissonance, perhaps picking a simpler subject (or part of this subject) would produce a more satisfying result?

I liked it better if I tilted my head so I was looking at it so the brick started at the bottom of the picture.

I feel like the frame is supposed to be vertically positioned, with the brick wall coming up from the bottom of the frame. I guess I feel like it's loaded in the forums incorrectly!

LOL....thanks for being honest but gentle guys. I tried another web site a while back and got about 50/50 but the ones who didn't like it actually wished death upon me for posting such a hoorible shot!!
So far on this forum all the critiscism I've seen has been constructive and helpful. Like you actually WANT to help other out here. I know it sounds mushy but that's very rare.

I'll keep shooting!!

Agree with Laurenbiz, I think the idea was great, but to me it is unsettling as Wulf said. Hope you don't mind, I tried rotating it 90 degrees

rotated

I realize that this is not what you were after but, My 2 cents worth.

I will remove this from my flikr tomorrow.

Hmmm...I would have to agree with everyone else. It is pretty busy, and therefore disconcerting. Everytime I look at it, I tilt my head to the left (I am at work, and am unable to see Flickr images, so I'm not sure but I think I'm trying to see what Douglas posted).

It's pretty cool, though. I like the lines, and the brick with the plants. I think 2 seperate images would be great. =)

Actually I really like it this way. I tried rotating it before and it just looked boring to me but the way you cropped it made all the difference.

Kinda makes me feel like I had too much to drink and lost a fight with gravity. This is a unique perspective, so you've got the right idea.
