This is the first image I took with my new 50mm f1.8 lens. There is no auto focus or vibration reduction. It is a fixed lens, all these things I need to get used to. Hard for me to get good focus. Any suggetions? Appreciate any help I can get. I am just getting started in the world of dslr....having point and shoot for many years. Taken with Nikon D3000; ss1/80; f6.3, iso200, 50mm.

It turns out well to me...Quite sharp on the two plants. Just right exposure to my taste. Maybe if its my shot, I would blur more on the top left plants, they are quite distracting to my attention. You can't even do manual focus on your lens? anyhow, the subjects turned out to be sharp.
