Default RE: Ring of love

I got this setup from my friend and I have tried my version. Can you critique the overall outcome of my post processing, like the composition, exposure, colour...Thank you

I think you went a little too far with the PP. The ring almost looks fake...a little too gold and a little too shiny, it almost looks fake.

I am going to guess, and say this is the grooms band. If so, moving it down just a hair might have done two things.

1. Brought the tip of the shadow next to the words "He who loves his wife"
2. Brought the same words into the depth of field, (more in focus).

With all that said,
AWESOME job on making the shadow into a heart! That really impressed me. You have my mind wondering about pulling that one off.

Nice Job!
(ps, my wife just walked into the room, saw it, and stated "That is really cool!")

The only thing I see that you did wrong is you didn't turn to the passage in Ephesians where is talks about women being in submission to their husbands!

(Just a joke, folks, no flame mails please. I know the real meaning of the passage.)

@DivotMaker-thank you for your tip, it is a groom's ring, my wife was at her job during my shot, otherwise I could have used her ring.hehe. I have tried your setup but It wont form a heart shadow anymore and balance is difficult, maybe I will decrease the saturation see if how it looks like...

@Leer-yah its their duty to submit to us.hehe

I love the topic of the photo

I agree, there is too much gold in the ring

I am new to this so I can't critique your work. but I wanted to say that I love the picture over all... and how the ring shapes a heart in the book.
