Question 11 years after the bombing

book

This shot was taken at the remains of the TV and Radio station in Novi Sad, Serbia in 2010, 11 years after the NATO bombing campaign. Browsing through the ruins i took some pictures of some things that were left there for over a decade since the bombing. Please tell me what you think. Is the depth of field too shallow? should i have made it so more of the book is in focus? Thanks.

Nikon D60
SigmaDC 18-200mm 1:3.5-6.3 HSM
Aperture: f/4.5
Exposure time: 1/13
ISO: 100

I like that only a tiny bit of the picture is focused, I think that conveys the mood better. I think this shot would work a lot better with a more interesting background, something that better illustrates the state of the place. I understand that you probably didn't want to mess with the stuff there and had little choice on that.

Quite frankly, I like the shot just the way you took it. It has a desolate feel of yesteryear to it....dof is excellent

I overexposed the pages of the book (for more dynamic and emphasis) and added noise to the background. Then a 'Rule of Thirds' crop. Just my two cents.

WOW, A lot of meaning in this photo!

Do you have more to share?

I think the DOF could have been changed a bit, but still looks good.

Such a sad and grim reminder of how the world is and has been, in turmoil for many years now.

Such a powerful shot- I really like the point of view. Although I find the photo meaningless without the caption.
