I know... cheesy, but im new to this. I'm 15, i currently only own a point and shoot, and i'm still learning most of the basics. This photo is from about a week ago, inspired by something i saw on the photography wall at my school.

I am also new to photography. I like your photo, very interesting idea. Keep it up. my only advise is to just keep shooting.

We all have to start somewhere and as starts go, this is not bad at all. Now, first shot in and you have already discovered one of photography's dirty little secrets; your camera wants to turn everything gray. Look at the paper in your shot; what color was it when you shot it, gray? No, it was white, so why did it turn out gray in this picture? How can you make it work right next time? This is your first assignment. Learn to fix this problem and you will be way ahead of your peers.

Way to go Lexi! This is typically considered a macro shot and you did a very good job. Lee gave you excellent advice... figure that out and you will, for sure, be ahead of your peers. I'm in a college photography class and some students don't even know how to switch their lenses out yet.
